Battery Cycle Count and Real Degradation

Your MacBook's battery health isn't binary. It's not suddenly "good" or "dead." Battery Cycle Count tells the real story. Apple counts one full cycle when you've used 100% of your battery's capacity, whether that's one full discharge or multiple partial ones. After 1000 cycles, expect around 80% capacity remaining. After 1500, expect 60-70%.

Most people don't know their cycle count. They just notice the battery depletes faster, or the Mac shuts down at 20% remaining charge. We check your actual Battery Cycle Count during diagnostics. Sometimes the battery is fine but macOS reporting is stuck. Sometimes the power management circuit on the logic board needs attention. Sometimes the battery genuinely needs replacement.

We've replaced batteries in M1 and M2 MacBook Air models throughout Muratpaşa. These newer models have batteries soldered to the logic board in some cases, which means the entire assembly might need replacement. Older Intel MacBooks often had user-removable batteries—simpler, cheaper to fix. The trend toward integration makes repairs more expensive, not more difficult.

Logic Board Repair and Soldering Work

The logic board is where everything happens. Your T2 Security Chip lives here on compatible models. Power circuits, charging management, GPU integration—all on one board. When water gets inside, or when thermal stress cracks microscopic connections, the Mac stops working predictably.

Logic board repair requires micro-soldering equipment and years of experience. We don't advertise this capability lightly. Most repair shops can't do it. We can. We've fixed logic boards with water damage, thermal damage, and component failure. The T2 Security Chip adds complexity because it manages security-related functions. Replacing it requires specific procedures Apple doesn't make public. We've learned through experience what works and what creates bigger problems.

Not every logic board failure can be repaired. Sometimes corrosion has spread too far. Sometimes the damage affects critical power circuits. We're honest about these limitations during diagnostics.

Retina Display and Screen Assembly Replacement

MacBook screens are not simple LCD panels. The Retina Display technology means incredibly high pixel density—you're looking at 227 pixels per inch on a 13-inch MacBook. The screen assembly includes the display panel, the backlight system, the cable connections, and the aluminum bezel. If any part fails, the whole assembly typically needs replacement.

Cracks spread in Retina Displays. A hairline fracture becomes a spiderweb within weeks. We replace screen assemblies carefully—the bezel removal requires heating, careful prying, and patience. The new assembly installation means reconnecting the display cable to the logic board, ensuring the camera and microphone components are properly seated.

We keep stock for MacBook Air M1/M2 and MacBook Pro M3 models. Older Intel MacBook screens are harder to source, but we can usually find them within days if needed.

Water Damage: Immediate Steps Matter

Liquid inside a MacBook creates urgent problems. Power circuits short immediately. Corrosion starts within hours. The T2 Security Chip and logic board corrode silently even when the Mac seems to work fine.

If your MacBook got wet, power it off immediately. Don't try to dry it with heat or compressed air. Bring it to us. We disassemble, clean every component with isopropyl alcohol, inspect for corrosion damage, and run diagnostics before reassembling. Speed matters here. Waiting days gives corrosion time to spread beyond repair.

MagSafe and Thunderbolt Charging Issues

Newer MacBook models use MagSafe charging. The magnetic connection is clever—it disconnects if something pulls the cable, preventing the Mac from flying off your desk. But the connector can develop issues. It might not charge consistently. The magnet might weaken. Sometimes the charging circuit on the logic board fails instead.
